Mevagissey

Many of our guests take a walk in the evening and enjoy a meal or drink in one of the many restaurants and pubs in the village.

There is a wide variety of shops, galleries and other attractions in the village. You can take a fishing trip for mackerel, pollock or mullet with one of our local fishermen – look for their signs by the harbour – or try a deep-sea trip for sharks! Boats can be hired to allow you to explore the coast nearby or take the Mevagissey to Fowey ferry in the summer months across St Austell Bay to discover the delights of Fowey with its yachting and literary connections.

While you’re down on the harbourside, call into the village’s local attractions; Mevagissey Aquarium and Mevagissey Museum. They’re both very interesting and well worth a visit.
